Description
Diana Ross and the Supremes - Greatest Hits Double 12' Gatefold LP, released on Motown Records in 1967 - MS 2-663. A full collection of singles and b-sides recorded by The Supremes. This was the first LP released under the new billing Diana Ross & the Supremes. Although founding member Florence Ballard is pictured on all album artwork and sings on all the tracks, by the time the set was released, she had been fired from the group and replaced by Cindy Birdsong. Cardboard gatefold is in good condition, but does have partial seam splits, edge & corner wear, and some discoloration on the front cover. Interior gatefold is clean, with a small tear at the spine, as pictured. Original Motown inner sleeves are both in very good condition. Comes with extras! 2 of the 3 original posters - Diana and Florence are included. Corner of the Diana poster has damage. BONUS - Ships with a rare 1968 "Love Child" concert tour program! Booklet is in really excellent condition, very clean, no tears, secure stapled binding. Very cool candid black & white photos interspersed with interviews and trivia. Altogether, this is fabulous package for true Supremes fans!
